Almost three years ago, Sergej found himself casually scrolling through his social media feed when something caught his eye: pictures of alpacas. But it wasn't the fluffy creatures that held his attention; it was the radiant smile of a girl named Anett, enjoying a day out with his friend Judith.

Seizing the moment, Sergej bravely messaged Judith, asking if he could join them “just to say hi." What began as a simple greeting soon turned into an impromptu lunch at Sergej's place. They spent the afternoon watching tv and enjoying each other's company, while bonding over shared laughs and stories. To their surprise, Sergej and Anett discovered they had already been Facebook friends since 2016, their paths nearly crossing at a party where Sergej was performing.

Fate, it seemed, had its own timeline. As the saying goes, love, like the most beautiful flower, needs time, patience, and care to blossom fully.

After finally meeting in Switzerland, the day Anett had to fly back to London was a difficult one as her mind and heart lingered with Sergej. In the midst of the Covid pandemic and a new lockdown, Anett's instincts told her that it was time to leave London. Her gut feelings did not fail her; they guided her back to where she truly belonged – with Sergej in Switzerland.

From the moment Sergej picked Anett up at the airport, their beautiful adventure began. They built their life together step by step, discovering new places and enjoying every moment in each other's company. It was only natural for Sergej to take the next step and propose to Anett.

The Proposal: A Star Wars-Inspired Dream

In a grand romantic gesture, Sergej chose the exact spot where Anakin and Padmé got married to propose to Anett. Knowing it was her favourite place, he surprised her in the most beautiful way, asking her to be his wife and making her dreams come true.

The Wedding: A Day full of  Magic By Lake Como

The wedding was a magical affair, filled with stunning details planned by our Italian Wedding Circle Member RoRas Destination Wedding. The couple opted for a ceremony in the beautiful Villa Sola Cabiati, followed by a reception in the garden of the Grand Hotel Tremezzo. These stunning Italy wedding venues created were the perfect choice for the couples and created a dreamlike experience for their guests.

After the ceremony, Sergej and Anett headed off across the lake on a boat for a picturesque photo shoot. A great way to capture the beauty of their love and surroundings on their wedding day.
